A Short Update

OK, I am really crap at blogging. Seriously I never remember to post on here! Perhaps that should be my New Year's Resolution?

Anyway, I'm home for the holidays and fairly active in various nerdy ways as usual. SilphWorks.com HAS actually seen a bit of work, shock horror! I was fiddling with the Lab page anyway, didn't get far but its a start :). Oh, and the latest spam problem (in the Shoutbox) might be fixed.

Other than that, I'm also currently working on the new version of my SilphPanel CMS, which this time will be publicly released, probably open-source. It's going to be pretty good, multi-lingual support, themeing, enhanced permissions model, that sort of thing. Anyway no ETA on it yet. I'm also working on HQuarters a bit, (my stab at Project Management Software for those who didn't know), and on a new website for a client that I may disclose at some point.

Outside of websites I've been messing around with an old Palm Zire 21 PDA for a couple of days now - rediscovered my Mum's old one in the course of trying to region-free my DVD player! They are great fun to play with, and make useful Universal Remotes! I'm also toying with the idea of publishing my Java Crib Sheets as some sort of book.. watch this space on that one.

Christmas in two days! I'm really excited and looking forward to it as usual, can't wait!!! I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
